Report on Primary Health Care Teams for Canadians
April 28, Toronto, ON - According to a new report by the Health Council of Canada, collaborative team-based care is a significant shift in the way Canadians are receiving their primary health care. As the Canadian healthcare system deals with an aging population and their chronic conditions, the use of primary health care teams is one that Canadians can benefit, both as taxpayers and people who use health care services.

Chiropractic delisted in Alberta
April 10, Edmonton, AB - With the proclamation of the Health Governance Transition Act, Alberta is announcing a number of changes to its health-care system. Among them is the delisting of chiropractic.  Albertans will now be paying out-of-pocket for chiropractic services, as the current subsidization of $14 per visit will soon be discontinued.

CMCC to participate in Chiropractors Without Borders
April 7, Toronto, ON – The Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College (CMCC) is very excited to participate in its first Chiropractic Without Borders (CWB) mission. Seven interns, graduate student Dr. Jaclyn Durante, faculty member Dr. Carol Ann Weis and clinician Les Wiltshire will be in the Dominican Republic from April 18 to April 29, where they will have the opportunity to treat individuals who have never had access to chiropractic.

CMCC’s 24th Annual BACKS IN MOTION
April 6, Toronto, ON - On Sunday, April 19, The Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College (CMCC) will be holding its 24th annual Backs in Motion Run/Walk. This year, we have added a 10km run component to the usual 5km run/walk option. The event will take place in the area surrounding the CMCC campus at 6100 Leslie Street.

Chiropractor participation in “No Tobacco Day”
April 7, Toronto, ON – Celebrated all over the world, May 31 is “No Tobacco” day.  The Public Health Committee of the World Federation of Chiropractic (WFC) continues to  call upon chiropractors, in chiropractic organizations, colleges, and individual offices to become involved in tobacco-use control and elimination — and make their involvement known in their communities.
