Ontario Chiropractors Adjust 60,000 People In Panama

July 24, 2008 - Drs. Jamie and Joel Richards, of London, Ont., were recently part of a 25-chiropractor team who travelled to Panama to deliver chiropractic adjustments to more than 60,000 people over a five-day period. Chiropractors from Canada, U.S., France, Spain, Australia, Ukraine, and England all participated from May 26th–30th.

“We were overwhelmed by the incredible volumes of people who showed up to receive chiropractic adjustments,” said Dr. Jamie Richards,  chiropractor at the Café of Life Chiropractic Studio. “There were days where each served 600-700 people.”

The chiropractors were honorary guests of the mayor of Panama City and presidential nominee Juan Carlos Navarro. Juan Carlos and his wife are both advocates of chiropractic and chiropractic patients themselves.

“Even in five days we saw amazing changes happen for people.” said Dr. Joel Richards, "and the people begged for us to come back as soon as possible.”

Chiropractic, as it is practiced at the Café of Life, is known as Straight Chiropractic. This component of the profession focuses on the improvement of neurological function by restoring motion and alignment to the spinal column.
