CCRF wins CIHR Award
Dec. 10, Toronto - The Canadian Chiropractic Research Foundation (CCRF) has won a Canadian Instititutes of Health Research (CIHR) peer reviewed award. CCRF was notified this week that it had been awarded $25,000 to support a proposal entitled "Workshop to advance the Canadian Chiropractic Research Agenda. Matching funds are being provided by the Canadian Chiropractic Association (CCA) and the Canadian Chiropractic Protective Association (CCPA).

The CCRF proposal was ranked number 1 in the competition by the CIHR reviewers.

The proposal was submitted by Dr. Kent Stuber DC, MSc,  Calgary, Alberta, Dr. André Bussières DC, FCCS (C), MSc, PhD(s), Population Health PhD program, University of Ottawa  and Dr. Allan Gotlib, DC.

The workshop will see the members of the Canadian Consortium of Chiropractic Researchers present their research areas and expertise, and will showcase the research capacity in Canada.  It will take place in 2009 at a leading university in Canada.

Congratulations to Drs. Gotlib, Stuber and Bussières and the CCRF for achieving this award.
