CMCC Sports Club: Contributing to Sports Science Education
In today’s evidence-informed world, knowledge is an ever-expanding asset. The CMCC Sports Club, an initiative developed to inspire through education via presentations and workshops delivered by seasoned athletes and professionals in the field of sports medicine, was created with this notion in mind.

Education is a process, one that has no boundaries. Chiropractic education in Canada, and worldwide, is a constantly evolving science, which never fails to take us in new directions in the pursuit of furthering the understanding of the human condition from a healthcare perspective. Despite the load-intensive nature of our education, modern students and clinicians are constantly asking questions, and striving to find answers. One certainty does exist: that in today’s chiropractic evidence-informed world, knowledge is an ever-expanding asset. The CMCC Sports Club was created with this notion in mind, adopting the following
goals for the club:

“To provide a stimulus for learning outside of the classroom and to inspire through education via presentations and workshops delivered by seasoned athletes and professionals in the field of sports medicine. In so doing, we will further chiropractic education, and its initiative to advance health care, and to translate new knowledge into practice.”

With this being said, the CMCC Sports Club representatives are here to announce the club’s presence and to extend an invitation to all CCSS(C) affiliates to take part in the club’s vision. We would like to invite anyone interested in learning to come out to future presentations.

We also welcome all would be interested in making a difference within the profession by taking the time to speak to the CMCC students and community.

Let us, collaboratively, make this club one that helps future professionals reach their full potential, and allows current professionals to learn from their colleagues.

Please feel free to contact Peter Lejkowski ( This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it )  and/or Melissa Cutler ( This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it ), the club’s representatives, directly via email if you would like more information about future initiatives or how to get involved. Help us make a difference in the future of our profession by fostering sports science education in the CMCC community.
