March 6, Guelph, Ontario – The Chiropractic
Awareness Council announces their annual spring conference to be held on May
8-9, 2009 at the Delta Markham, in Markham
Ontario. This year’s theme, Celebrating Family, offers
a fresh perspective on personal and practice goals while the roster of dynamic
speakers promises to make the event well worth attending!
If you attended last year's event, the "Tenth Anniversary Spectacular" CAC Spring
Conference, then you know that it certainly lived up to its billing. The
feedback received was overwhelmingly positive. Each and every one of
the over 250 people who attended walked away inspired to do more with their lives and
their practices.
"After a gig like that," says CAC chairman, Dr. Steven Silk, "we only had one problem.... where
do we go from here."
With a theme of "Celebrating Family" and a
revamp of our schedule, the CAC feels they have the formula for their best event yet.
Speakers will include:
- Dr. Christopher
Kent
(Co-Founder of CLA; Host: On-Purpose Communications)
- Dr. Eric Plasker
(President
of The Family Practice; Author: "The 100 Year Lifestyle")
- Dr. Barbara
Sturm
(President of Simple Solutions for Success; Head Coach: ChiroCollege.com)
- Dr. Janice
Hughes
(President
of 2Inspire Coaching; Director: The Winners Circle)
- Dr. Jeanne Ohm
(President of Makin' Miracles; Executive Coordinator: ICPA)
"With a
field of presenters like that," says Silk, "there is absolutely no doubt that
we're going to open up your hearts and minds to endless possibilities of
personal and professional growth with an emphasis on family."
"But because our vision is big, we aren't
content with stopping there. We always strive to deliver a lot more than
you expected in all our events, starting with some serious
socializing!"
Dr. Silk goes on to explain that, as always, the event is also a way to "schmooze with 250 of your
closest friends". Friday night's "Kick-off Cocktail
Reception" is always a popular start to the weekend, and this year, CAC organizers have decided to alter the wildly popular Wine Makers
Dinner, held on Saturday night, by recreating it as the "Marketplace
Dinner", a casual strolling wine and dine experience held on-site.
Says Silk, "The
Chef du Maison at the Delta
Markham is really going to put together something special!"
The annual "Chairman's Reception" will finish off the weekend on Saturday Night.
"While we
strive to put on the "Best Chiro-Party of the Year", its not all fun
and games," notes Dr. Silk. "We have put together a number of other things to fully support
you in your quest to be the best DC you can be. To help ensure your whole
clinic gets a boost, and due to the overwhelmingly positive response to our
"CA Break-out session" last year, we will again be expanding the
"staff-only" talks to the entire morning on Saturday. And
because the students are clamouring for information, we have really upped our
commitment to them as well, with a "Student Break-out session" on
Saturday afternoon, as well as an informal "Student-Doctor Spizz
Session" on Friday night during the Wine & Cheese. To support
the growth of our "little chiro-people", the WoW Kids Club is back,
allowing for a true "family event". Finally, we will be
presenting our AGM at lunch on Saturday where we will share our collective wins
and challenges as well as take questions of all types from the membership."
"I truly believe that this event will be another pivotal
moment for the growth of chiropractic in Ontario, and if you feel the you are
part of something big - or are really curious about what all the hub-bub is about -
come stand with the rest of us.
