ON - The Canadian Chiropractic
Research Foundation (CCRF) is happy to announce that Dr. Drew Potter, DC has
been elected as CCRF president. Dr. Potter officially assumed his new role at
the annual general meeting of May 30, 2009.
Potter is a 1970 graduate of the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic
College (CMCC) in Toronto.
He is a member of the Canadian Chiropractic Association (CCA), the Ontario
Chiropractic Association (OCA), CMCC, and the Canadian Chiropractic Protective Association
(CCPA). He has served as a Director of the OCA and CCA. From 1979-1981 he was
President of the Waterloo Wellington Chiropractic Society. Dr. Potter also held
the office of president of the College
of Chiropractors of
Ontario (CCO)from 2004 to 2006.
Currently he sits on the executive committee of the Canadian Federation
of Chiropractic Regulatory and Educational Accrediting Boards (CFCREAB) and is
a member of the board of directors of the Commission on Accreditation International
( CCEI.). In addition, Potter is chair for
the Commission on Accreditation of the CFCREAB.
In 2008, Dr. Potter served as CCRF chair of the fundraising committee.
Newly elected directors include Dr. Don Nixdorf from Vancouver, British Columbia
and Dr. David Leprich from St.
Catharines, Ontario.
Both these individuals have made longstanding and significant contributions to
the chiropractic community across Canada. The CCRF continues to
benefit from the strong leadership skills of Dr. Ron Bodkin PhD, an economics
professor from the University
of Ottawa as well as Drs.
Chris Martin, Rob Allaby and Martin Gurvey.
