New OCA president announced

Oct. 28, Toronto, ON – The Ontario Chiropractic Association (OCA) announces that Dr. Natalia Lishchyna has been appointed as its new president.

Dr. Lishchyna has served on the OCA board for the past three years – her most recent appointment has been as vice-president. She is a member of clinical faculty at CMCC and practices in Oakville, Ontario.

Dr. Lishchyna is the second woman to serve as OCA president, following in what she considers the inspirational footsteps of Dr. Roberta Koch who served as OCA president from 1989-1991.

“As I begin my term as president,” notes Dr. Lishchyna in her inaugural message to the OCA membership, “I want to assure you that the OCA Board is fully committed to continuing to build and expand our profession’s professional profile and credibility, create opportunities for integration, provide valuable member benefits and engage our members to build a strong sustainable community of chiropractors across our province.”

“This last priority,” she continues, “is of particular importance to me, as member involvement and support is critical in carrying out the work of our association…becoming involved does not have to be onerous. It can be as simple as participating in an event, providing community based public education or responding to a survey.”
