Chiropractic Under the African Sun
Jan 26, Toronto, Ont. – The World Federation of Chiropractic (WFC) and the Chiropractic Association of South Africa (CASA) cordially invite Canadian DCs to join colleagues, educators and friends from around the world at the WFC’s 12th Biennial Congress to be held at the International Convention Centre in Durban, South Africa, April 10-13, 2013.

Have you ever experienced the quality and excitement of a WFC Congress?  Have you ever experienced South Africa, its game parks and other natural wonders?

This is your opportunity to do both at once.  The academic program is now confirmed and includes:

  • ·         Themes of evidence-based care, technique, nutrition and exercise, philosophy and chiropractors as spinal care experts;
  • ·         Speakers on doctors of chiropractic as primary spine care experts such as Scott Haldemann DC, MD, PhD, (the opportunities and challenges), Ian Paskowski, DC (a case sample from Massachusettes), Jan Hartvigson DC, PhD (why and how chiropractors in Denmark are increasingly accepted in this role) and Robert Gunzburg, MD PhD, Assistant Editor-in-Chief, European Spine Journal (the perspective of a European spine surgeon.);
  • ·         Numerous clinical and technique workshops and optional one- and two-day pre-congress seminars. Presenters include Lindsay Rowe (imaging), Joyce Miller (pediatrics), Mark Charrette (extremity adjusting) Christopher Colloca (instrument adjusting) Brian Nook (side posture adjusting for all sizes) and more.

Durban, a cosmopolitan city of four million on one of the most beautiful beaches in South Africa, offers world class dining and entertainment.  The International Convention Centre, site of the Congress and the recent World Climate Conference, is a state-of-the-art conference facility.  An outstanding social program will include a complimentary beach party sponsored by the City of Durban, an African theme night on Friday and the WFC’s Silver Anniversary Banquet and Dance on Saturday.  Many delegates will want to go on safari and tour game parks before or after the Congress.

Plan to join the WFC in April 2013!  The WFC asks you to contact friends and colleagues and ask them to join you in this celebration of chiropractic!  For more information, or to register for the congress, please visit www.wfc.org/congress2013.
