rollermassager__portableSept 11, Akron, OH – Performance Health has expanded its portfolio of products with patent-pending innovations that aid in myofascial release, a critical component of musculoskeletal health. These new products, Thera- Band® Roller Massagers+, Pro Foam Rollers and Foam Roller Wraps+, are ideal for training, injury prevention and rehabilitation.

The Thera-Band
Roller Massager+ is an ideal tool for myofascial release and deep tissue
massage. Its unique patent-pending ridged design supports both superficial and
deep tissue mobilization while providing a massage-like experience. The standard-sized
Roller Massager+ is ideal for in-clinic use and features handles that are
designed to facilitate trigger point release; the portable version offers
patent-pending retractable handles for ease of use at home or away from home.
Use of the Roller Massager+ can help increase blood flow and circulation in
targeted areas, increase muscle flexibility and improve range of motion.

Patent-pending, ridged Thera-Band Foam Roller Wraps+,
used in conjunction with standard 6” round foam rollers, allow the practitioner
to make the most of foam rolling, whether they’re introducing it to their
practice or enhancing an existing foam roller investment. This revolutionary
new system serves as a novel tool for hands-free myofascial release, deep
tissue massage and stabilization exercises, and can help increase muscle
flexibility and range of motion. The Foam Roller Wraps+ are available in four
colors of progressive density to support varying degrees of tissue
mobilization—Yellow (X-Soft) providing extra cushion for more delicate patient
populations through Blue (X-Firm) for advanced fascia mobilization.

The Thera-Band
Pro Foam Rollers are made of highly durable
closed-cell foam to extend the product’s life and maintain its form. They can
be used as a standalone device or in conjunction with the patent-pending
Thera-Band Foam Roller Wraps+. The Pro Foam Rollers are available in the
standard 6” diameter, in both 36” and 12” lengths, and a 6” half round diameter
in the 36” length.

All of
these Thera-Band products, designed for the demands of in-clinic use, are
individually packaged for resale by the practitioner. This enables patients and
clients to obtain the same in-clinic benefits when they’re at home and on the
go. Each product includes detailed exercise instructions featuring general
techniques and advanced exercises divided by muscle region.

“We are
very excited to bring these new progressive therapy products to the
marketplace,” stated Paul Timko, Senior Product Manager, Performance Health.
“Like the practitioners who rely on our products, we realize the importance of
having simple solutions to help individuals increase flexibility and range of
motion, strengthen muscles, improve balance and gain better functional
movement. Thera-Band is the brand the world’s leading professionals trust with
their patients’ and athletes’ outcomes—and have for decades.”

These
new portable, economical, versatile and easy-to-store Thera-Band solutions
effectively and efficiently support in-clinic
programs, at-home exercise programs and self-initiated wellness programs.

New
from Performance Health – For practitioners who want their patients to use
Thera-Band products but don’t have the space or desire to retail products,
Performance Health has a new program to make sure their patients and clients
get the products they need. Here’s how it works. The practitioner sends their
patients or clients to the Performance Health website to buy products, and when
they select the practitioner as the referral source, the practitioner receives
a 10 per cent reward on each transaction. Practitioners need to register to
benefit from this program. Go to www.PerformanceHealth.com  and click “Build My Practice.” If a
practitioner already sells Thera-Band products, this provides a solution for
products they don’t inventory. It’s an easy and profitable extension of
in-clinic selling.
