Sept 25, Toronto – The fourth annual CMCC golf tournament, BackSwing, held yesterday at Angus Glen Golf Club
in Markham, Ontario was a resounding success.  30 teams challenged the course, and each
other, in an effort to raise money for chiropractic education and research.

Attendance at the event was over 130 and teams were made up of players from the chiropractic
community as well as corporate sponsors, associates and friends.  The event also included a silent auction
where items included chiropractic tables and art, sports gear, tickets to
various events and jewelry. In total, over $25,000 was raised on behalf of chiropractic education and research.

A chiropractic outreach clinic, staffed by CMCC clinicians
and interns, was on-hand for anyone who required treatment or a pre-game
tuneup.  (The author is personally
grateful to the clinic staff – I couldn’t have made it through the day without
you!)

David Coleman, CMCC’s Director of Alumni Affairs along with co-chairs of the event, Drs. Rocco Guerriero and Peter Kim, would like to thank the many participants, sponsors, donors, CMCC staff and student volunteers who attended, or otherwise supported the tournament and look forward
to “BackSwing 2009”, the special fifth anniversary edition being planned for
next year.
