Frazer, Pa.-based Hill Laboratories has received UL Approval 60601-1:2012 3rd Edition and Health Canada approval for its premiere Class II Medical Device, the Hill DT Decompression System. Hill Laboratories is a fourth generation family-owned manufacturer of chiropractic, medical and physical therapy tables and products.
In addition, Hill has also been awarded the highest level of international standards, with its ISO 13485 certification, the company said. ISO 13485 Quality Management System will now add to improvements in the quality, design, production and customer satisfaction of all Hill products. ISO 13485 is the preferred standard recognized by the U.S., Europe, Australia, Japan, Brazil and Canada.

Hill DT Solutions, in Grand Rapids, Mich., will continue to provide the sales, training and certification of the Hill DT. Led by Dr. Timothy Burkhart, DC, BCIM, Hill DT Solutions mentors deliver remote and onsite certification training across the world, the company said. Together with the Hill DT online network, 24/7 support and monthly mentoring conference calls, doctors receive solid fundamentals in treating disc patients with the Hill DT.

"With this milestone, our company is in a great position to grow exponentially and keep quality, consistency and customer satisfaction at the front of our company’s philosophy. The Canadian doctors are hungry for the Hill DT and now we can safely deliver it, not only to that market, but to many others as well," said Benjamin Hill, vice-president of Hill Laboratories Company.
