New site aims to connect chiropractors with patients in Canada
Halifax, N.S. — There's a new website aimed at helping Canadians find their ideal chiropractor. Chiropractors.ca has completed its first month of operations, demonstrating encouraging growth. Within its first 30 days, 90 Canadian chiropractors registered their practice profiles with Chiropractors.ca.
The website's aim is to help connect people with their ideal chiropractor, while also helping chiropractors increase their online visibility and grow their practices.
The site's director, Colin MacLeod, believes that people are often not sure how to go about finding the best chiropractor for their needs. MacLeod mentions that by choosing a limited number of "areas of focus" for their profile, chiropractors can illustrate their particular areas of expertise to prospective patients.
"As a healthcare professional, I hear from patients on a regular basis that they are not sure how to go about finding the right healthcare provider for their health concerns. They ask 'which chiropractor would be best for treating my sciatica?' and 'can you recommend someone who provides laser treatment?'" says MacLeod, a naturopath practicing in Halifax.
"I was surprised to find that for the size and scope of the chiropractic profession, there was no dedicated, fully-featured and user-friendly online directory of Canadian chiropractors. The goal of Chiropractors.ca is to fill this gap," MacLeod says.
