The second Chiropractic Summit was a success as 24 organizations
representing the profession came to Washington, D.C. to work together
for the betterment of chiropractic. The Summit focused on issues
surrounding upcoming national healthcare reform and Medicare reform.

The
profession is reaching a higher level of recognition and this
historic meeting is the next step toward having a voice in healthcare
reform” said Summit Chairman Dr. Lewis Bazakos. “It is
heartwarming to see the great number of people who traveled long
distances to come together under one roof to work for the betterment
of the profession.”

The
first Chiropractic Summit – held in Washington, D.C. in September
of 2007 – featured 13 organizations representing chiropractic
colleges, vendors, research facilities and leaders of the colleges.
The number of organizations participating increased to 24 for the
second Summit and Dr. Bazakos is already fielding calls from
additional groups eager to participate in the next Chiropractic
Summit in August 2008.
