Feb. 20, Toronto, Ont. - Canadian Chiropactor magazine would like extend its congratulations to the chiropractic clinicians and researchers at the CMCC clinic based at St. Michael's Hospital in Toronto.  Drs. Deborah Kopanski-Giles and Igor Steiman were the DCs on the interdisciplinary team that achieved the Innovations in Interprofessional Teaching Award given by the University of Toronto's Department of Family and Community Medicine Undergraduate Education Program.
Feb. 19, Arlington, VA– In the United States, the economic stimulus package put forth by the Obama administration contains significant consideration for health care, especially in the areas of electronic patient records and wellness and prevention programs.  The American Chiropractic Association (ACA) has identified opportunities for chiropractic within this stimulus package.
Feb. 7, Calgary, Alberta - Hector Goudreau, Alberta's minister of employment and immigration, talked to CTV News this evening, regarding the comments he was reported to have made, earlier this week, about the province delisting various health care services, including chiropractic.  
Feb. 6. Calgary, Alberta - Alberta Health Minister Ron Liepert is not confirming reports that the province's government is considering delisting chiropractic and other minor treatments.
Feb. 5, Edmonton, Alberta - The government is considering delisting about 30 services from medicare that don't require coverage under the Canada Health Act, Alberta's employment and immigration minister said this week. Hector Goudreau said the province is debating whether services such as chiropractic care and mole extraction should be removed from coverage.
Jan. 27, Ottawa, Ont. - The Eastern Ontario Chiropractic Society will be hosting their 2nd Annual Chiropractic Dinner and Awards Night. The EOCS is extending opportunities to sponsor a portion of this evening. The gathering will be in an intimate and quiet atmosphere, in which to connect with chiropractors in the Ottawa area.
Jan. 17, Las Vegas, Nevada - Dr. Shawn Chaudary, a board-certified chiropractic neurologist, has recorded a song called The Chiropractic Anthem, and performed it, today, at Parker Seminars in Las Vegas.  The song was written in the popular music genre for motivation and inspiration, to teach patients, and potential patients, and to allow young people to connect with the profession.
