Dr.

Whitney trained over 5,000 new graduates to successfully enter practice in
Canada and the U.S.

“Dr.
Whitney was a mentor to thousands of students, including myself,” writes Dr.
Steven Silk, Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Chiropractic Awareness
Council in Canada. “He guided them through the challenges of ‘start-up,’ with
the intent of giving them the ability to ‘hit the ground running.’ Using solid
business and practice management tips, based in ethics and built on a
foundation of patient-centred care, he helped chiropractors on both sides of
the 49th parallel create successful practices for over 30 years.”

But Dr.
Whitney was more than just a business coach.

“Many a
late night was spent, over a fine bottle of red wine,”  continues Dr. Silk, “discussing
philosophy, not only of chiropractic, vitalism and the changing health-care
scene, but life in general. He delighted in sharing his insight into ‘creating
a better practice mousetrap’ for all of us, and it was not uncommon to get an
email or call from him when he had an ‘a-ha’ moment that he believed would
benefit not only the profession, but the people we served.”

A
Celebration of Life memorial event in his honour will be held on Friday, March
15, 2013 at 1PM at the Cutten Fields in Guelph, ON. Due to space limitations,
if you are planning on attending, please RSVP.
