March 12,
Guelph, ON – Chris
Munford – athletic performance trainer at the University of Guelph
(U of G), former NBA trainer and former CFL athlete – and his associates will
be holding a seminar titled Demystifying Functionality on April 4,
2009.  Munford currently works with
athletes and the chiropractic team at U of G, and would like to invite other
DCs, and chiropractic students, to also participate in this event.

Munford and his co-trainers are certified and experienced
Athletic Performance Specialists.
Munford, himself, has worked in the field of strength and conditioning
since 1995.  Currently one-third of the ‘Three
Functional Fellas’ (3FF) team, he is
dedicated to assisting athletes in their quest to find better performance and
better health. The 3FF professionals have developed their programs based on the
conclusion that there is a disconnect, with respect to elite athletes and their
training, between the understanding of performance-related concepts and turning
those concepts into useful strategies capable of truly aiding those looking to
assist their performance goals.

The seminar event is dedicated to discussing the concept
of functionality in relationship to athletic performance training
and rehabilitation, and will aim to inspire trainers and practitioners to feel
confident in their understanding and application of functionality in the
training and rehabilitation of clients, patients and athletes.

The 3FF aims to educate, in an easy-access manner, those who
strive for improvement of performance and health, and/or to facilitate the
return from injury in others and in themselves.
Bringing DCs a new approach to knowledge in this field, the 3FF hopes to
inspire attendees to always ask; “Why?”

The seminar will be held on Saturday,
April 4, 2009, beginning at 9:00 a.m., at the
Guelph Turfgrass Institute of the U of G.  For more detailed information, and
registration details, please visit http://www.the3ff.com/.
