So long, paper: ACAC becomes an e-communicator

The Council for the Alberta College and Association of Chiropractors (ACAC) decided unanimously that the benefits of an electronic method of communication far outweigh any benefit found in paper communications.

“This idea has been on the table for a long time,” says Dr. Clark Mills, president of the ACAC. “Many of our members expressed interest in a more efficient method of communicating and we are confident that this is it.”

The entirely electronic plan will allow the ACAC to cut rising costs associated with paper communications, offer more immediate updates to members, utilize staff resources more productively and be more environmentally responsible.

“The ACAC will also be better able to tailor information to our members’ needs through the available reporting and evaluation structures of the electronic format,” says Dr. Mills.

Newsletters, notices, reminders and general updates will be sent to members entirely via electronic means as of October 1 of this year.
