August 23, Beijing – Chiropractor Richard Dober, Jr. and his partner Andrew Willows, place 6th in the men's K-2 500m flatwater kayak race after a technically perfect race.

"We can't be unhappy as we have made no mistakes and raced as well as we could," comments Dober, a graduate of UQTR, and chiropractor in Trois Rivieres, Quebec.

Dober and his partner Williams placed first in the semifinals that were held on August 21, thus garnering their spot in the finals.  The gold medal for this race was won by Spain, but Dober and Williams are pleased for having carried out a perfect race.

Dober and Williams thank everyone who sent them encouragement notes, especially during the week prior to the final races.

"We have received and read them all, and it was very appreciated," they noted.
