Canadian universities to get research funding from Ice Bucket Challenge

Researchers at the University of Manitoba are giving thanks for a popular fund-raising craze that led everyone from little kids to big-time celebrities to get buckets of ice dumped on their heads. F4CP names Dr. Sherry McAllister executive vice-president

The Foundation for Chiropractic Progress (F4CP) has appointed Dr. Sherry McAllister, DC, as executive vice-president. The first doctor of chiropractic to lead the F4CP positive press campaign, McAllister has a unique professional and academic history, combining more than 20 years as a practicing DC with a graduate degree in education and extensive knowledge of the technological and social media landscape.The Saskatchewan government has passed legislation that will allow people to pay privately for MRIs. Protein biomarker identifies damaged brain wiring after concussion

Physicians and others now recognize that seemingly mild, concussion-type head injuries lead to long-term cognitive impairments surprisingly often.
