Dec.
20, Biddeford ME – Chiropractors are invited to the Introduction to Pain,
Nociception and Nerves Seminar to be presented by Geoffrey Bove, DC, PhD in
Chester, Nova Scotia on June 22nd and 23rd, 2013. Up to
10 CEUs are available for this seminar – please check with your local
jurisdiction for details.

There is a world-wide initiative in all realms of health
care to learn more about pain. This is not surprising, since pain is the most common
complaint for which patients see therapists. Manual therapists have direct
access to, and therefore can interact with, the peripheral nervous system and
the pain system. Understanding the anatomy and physiology of the peripheral
nervous system is paramount to pinpointing the source of symptoms, and
consequently, directing care. In this course, pain and nociception will be
presented in a diagnostic context. Practitioners completing this course will be
able to recognize various types of pain, locate the source of symptoms, and
better design their treatments.
