Jan. 28, Halifax, Nova Scotia – The Nova Scotia College of Chiropractors would like to invite all to their  Continuing Education Seminar titled Building the Ultimate Back: from Rehabilitation to be held on May 23-24, 2009 at the Westin Nova Scotian in Halifax. Renowned international lecturer, author and scientist, Dr. Stuart McGill, will discuss how to enhance clinical decision making necessary for elite practice in solving low back disorders.

Professor Stuart McGill has authored over 200 scientific publications that address the issues of lumbar function, low back injury mechanisms, investigation of tissue loading during rehabilitation programs and the formulation of work-related injury avoidance strategies.

Dr. McGill sits on the editorial boards of the journals SPINE, Clinical Biomechanics, and Journal of Applied Biomechanics.  He has won several awards including the prestigious Volvo Bioengineering Award for Low Back Pain Research from Sweden.

Dr. McGill has authored two textbooks:  "Low Back Disorders – Evidence-based prevention and rehabilitation" and "Ultimate Back Fitness and Performance."  These books synthesize the material presented in this course and are recommended as resource materials for interested participants.
